2017 DINNER PROGRAMS
Lake Huron Lore's 2017 Dinner Programs will continue to be held at West Haven Baptist Church, 4070 West Water St., Port Huron, Mi. The dinners are served at 6 pm, at a reasonable cost, and are by RSVP, and mailed to Lake Huron Lore members. However, if others want to attend the programs only, at no charge, please arrive by 7 pm.
March 11, 2017 - Bob McGreevy will present a program on the historic U. S. Life Saving Service, and its rescues off Michigan's Thumb of Lake Huron.
April 22, 2017 - Bob Campbell will share 60th anniversary scenes from the great 1957 ice jam in Whitefish Bay, Lake Superior.
October 21, 2017 - Roger Hewlett will present, 'Coal Passer' on the steamers Moody and the Foster.
November 11, 2017 - Dick Wicklund's program is titled, "Blue Water Passages: Veteran Ships of the Great Lakes."
March 4, 2017 - The annual Great Lakes Shipwreck Festival will be held in Ann Arbor, from 9 am to 5 pm at the Washtenaw Community College. Go on line to greatlakesshipwreckfestival.org for more details.
June 10, 2017 - Lake Huron Lore's Annual Marine Mart, 9 am - 3 pm, at the River View Plaza in St. Clair, Mi.
September 30, 2017 - Lake Huron Lore's Annual Whistles on the Water, steam whistle blow will held at Palmer Park on the St. Clair River in St. Clair, Mi., 9 am to late afternoon.
