SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27th: The sixth annual "Whistles on the Water," steam whistle blow will be held at Palmer Park on the St. Clair River, in St. Clair across from Riverview Plaza from 10 am to about 4 pm.  This event is free and open to the public, so come and hear many steam whistles from the ships that once sailed our "Inland Seas!".

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4th: Lake Huron Lore will present a program by Paul Schmidt on "Life Saving on the Great Lakes, 100 Years Ago."  This program will be held at Westhaven Baptist Church, 4070 West Water Street, Port Huron at 6 pm.  Please note this will not be a dinner program as in the past, but refreshments will be served at no charge, so come and enjoy this first program for the fall season!

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 1st: Lake Huron Lore will present our fall dinner and program, 6 pm at Westhaven Baptist Church, 4070 West Water Street, Port Huron:  Jim & Pat Stayer will present , "Shifting Sands of Time," the stories of shipwrecks at Whitfish Point, Lake Superior.  As in the past, Lake Huron Lore will mail members and guests, RSVP invitations for the dinner at a cost, for the 6 pm dinner.  However, if one wishes not to have dinner, the program is free, so come  by 7 pm.  In anycase, Jim & Pat always put on an excellent program well done - so join us!
